64TH DEDICATION DAY OF BHAKRA DAM CELEBRATED WITH REVERENCE & ENTHUSIASM

The 64thDedication Day of Bhakra Dam was celebrated today by the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) with reverence, respect, and enthusiasm. On this occasion, the Chairman, BBMB, Er. Manoj Tripathi, along with other senior officers, paid heartfelt tributes by laying floral wreaths at the Martyrs’ Memorial dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives during the construction of the project.

In his address, the Chairman described Bhakra Dam as a symbol of the country’s progress, the Green Revolution, and India’s outstanding technological and engineering capabilities. He stated that Bhakra Dam is a historic project that has played a significant role in nation-building. Crediting the excellence in engineering, successful operation, and continued achievements of the project to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of BBMB officers and employees, he called upon all officers and employees to continue working together to ensure the safe, smooth, and reliable operation of the dam in the future as well.

On the occasion of Dedication Day, a painting competition on the theme of Bhakra Dam was conducted among the students of BBMB DAV School, Nangal. Prizes were presented to the students who performed exceptionally well in the competition, as well as to the participating students, to encourage and motivate them.

As part of the programme, a ‘’Fit India Freedom Run’’ was also organized to carry forward the message of the Fit India campaign. The run conveyed the message of awareness regarding physical health, fitness, and an active lifestyle.
On this occasion, the Chairman, BBMB, Er. Manoj Tripathi, inaugurated the newly constructed conference hall at Bhakra Sadan in Nangal. In addition, he planted saplings at the BBMB Officers’ Club, conveying a message of commitment to environmental conservation and a green environment.

The 64th Dedication Day of Bhakra Dam became an occasion to express gratitude for the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs, remember the project’s glorious legacy, and highlight BBMB’s contribution to the progress of the nation.
