In a solemn ceremony today, the 66th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) paid heartfelt tribute to Head Constable Lal Fam Kima, a valiant soldier who sacrificed his life in the line of duty. The incident occurred during an unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers on the intervening night of 8/9 November 2023 in Samba Sector, Jammu.

(SUBHEAD)HC Kima, originally part of the 66 BN BSF, demonstrated exceptional courage and dedication, leading to his subsequent posting to the 24BN BSF. Presently, he was deployed with the 148 BN BSF in Samba.

The troops observed two minutes of silence in memory of the fallen hero, followed by a touching homage where flowers were offered on the photo of the brave soldier. This ceremony serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our courageous men and women in uniform to safeguard the nation's security.

The 66 BN BSF extends its deepest condolences to the family of HC Lal Fam Kima and remains steadfast in its commitment to preserving the integrity of the nation's borders.
