As per the direction of Ms. Kanwardeep kaur, IPS, W/SSP, UT, Chandigarh, under the guidance of Sh. Mridul, IPS, SP-City, UT, Chandigarh and under supervision of SDPO/Central, a team of Police Station Sector-17 headed by Insp. Rajeev Kumar SHO PS-17 achieved a major success by arresting a two wheeler thief in case e-FIR No. 000778 dated 16.09.2023 U/s 379, added 411 IPC of PS Sector-17, UT, Chandigarh.
The above said case e-FIR number was registered on the complaint of Ms Heena Sadaf D/o Azam Ahmad R/o H. No. 879, Phase-7, Mohali, PB age 29 Years whe rein she reported that on 15.09.2023, she parked her activa number PB06AF0929 in the parking area, near PNB, Sec 22/D, UT, Chandigarh. When she came back at about 8.PM, her active was not found there. An unknown person has stolen her Activa.
During the course of investigation, on 04.10.2023 accused Sanjeev Kumar S/o Late Sh. Madan Gopal R/o H. No. 537 Ward No. 02, Model town, Khanna Ludhiana, PB Age 43 years has been arrested. His Police custody remand was obtained and further 11 more two wheelers i.e. 10 Activa and 01 motor cycle have been recovered on the instance of accused
Accused is on police remand till 07.10.2023. With the arrest of accused, the following cases have been
worked out:-E-FIR No. 778/23 U/s 379 IPC PS-17 Chandigarh, E-FIR No. 28/22 U/s 379IPC PS-17 Chandigarh, E-FIR No. 22/22 U/s 379IPC PS-17 Chandigarh, FIR No. 330/21 U/s 379IPC PS- Ambala Cantt. Ambala HR.
RECOVERY: Activa 10, PB06 AF 0929- BLUE, CH01BG2815- BLUE, PB03AU3186- WHITE, HR01AJ3865-GREY, PB91 1753- WHITE, HR02AB7834, PB10GP3603- GREY, PB08DL4846- WHITE, PB65AA4591-BLACK, PB02CK6448- WHITE, M/cycle 01, CH01AQ1852-BLACK (Splendor)
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Sanjeev Kumar S/o Late Sh. MadanGopal R/o H. No. 537 Ward No. 02, Model town, Khanna Ludhiana, PB. Age 43 years.12th pass , unemployed. Accused has tainted past and during interrogation, accused disclosed that he was also arrested in a theft case registered by Punjab police. Further investigation is in progress
