J.R. Tantia Charitable De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center being run in Tantia University Campus on Sriganganagar- Hanumangarh Road, has been honored by the district administration for its excellent service work.

(MOREPIC1) District Collector Anshdeep and Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma along with Chief Guest MLA Rajkumar Gaur at the main function of Independence Day organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government College premises honoured Project Director Dr. Vikas Sachdeva, Assistant Project Director Raj Kumar Jain and in-charge of the Center Dr. Manish Baghla.

It is noteworthy that the Center has been carrying various programs for the past many years in the direction of de-addiction. While the youth admitted to the center to shun drugs are given completely free treatment, medicine and food-accommodation facilities, public awareness efforts are also carried out through various activities in the city. Under this, one-act play staging, competitions, seminars, rallies and other programs are organized.

An innovation has also been made to avoid bad habits by playing snake-ladder through more than thirty thousand children in Anganwadi centers across the district.
