Commission forInter-Faith and Ecumenism, Archdiocese of Madras – Mylapore and Joyism International, Chennai organised “Joyfully Journeying Together”, an Inter-Faith Social Unity Harmony Peace and Joy Initiative motivating all for a Joyful Future.

The event was held at Loyola Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai. Leaders of many different religions including Christianity, Islam, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Bahai Faith gathered along with more than 400 people.

Rev.Dr.Lawrence Pius, Chairman, Commission for Inter-Faith and Ecumenism, Tamil Nadu Bishop Council was the Chief Guest for the event. He emphasized about the rich cultural heritage of India and the need to have mutual love and respect for all in his address.

BK Beena, Zonal Service Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris Tamil Nadu Zone, was invited as a special guest to share her ideas on this occasion. She spoke about some of the teachings of Brahma Kumaris and how we all are responsible to create a future world which will be filled with peace, joy and harmony and inspire everyone to become leaders in this world transformation. She also guided the audience to do a small meditation that helped them connect with the self and God.

The Loyola Matriculation School students presented a Mime on “Unity in Diversity” and enthralled the audience with their splendid performance.
