LARGE QUANTITY OF HEROIN/SMACK BY THE TEAM OF ANTI-NARCOTICS CELL/NORTH DISTRICT, ONE SUPPLIER & ONE RECEIVER, BOTH ARE NOTORIOUS INTER-STATE DRUG SUPPLIERS ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF ANTI-NARCOTICS NORTH DISTRICT, TOTAL OF 600 GRAMS OF HEROIN/SMACK RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION. THE ACCUSED PERSONS USED TO BRING THE STOCK OF CONTRABAND DRUGS FROM BIHAR AND FURTHER SUPPLY THE SAME IN DELHI OR NCR ON THE DIRECTION OF THE MAIN SOURCE OF DRUGS., BOTH THE ACCUSED PERSONS ARE BUDDING CRIMINALS, ALLURED BY ONE FOR SUPPLYING THE CONTRABAND DRUGS AND THEY FELL GREEDY SO STARTED TO SUPPLY THE DRUGS TO FINANCE THEIR LIVELIHOOD.

The team of Anti-Narcotics Cell, North District has been directed to work on the wanted criminals, especially Robbers, Snatchers, Burglars, Auto-lifters, Drug peddlers, and criminals involved in street crime. Consequently, the team of Anti-Narcotics Cell has been working relentlessly and developing information about the criminals active in the area and they also used to patrol randomly in the area during odd hours to keep a check on their illegal activities.
On 24.07.2023, secret information was received by SI Vijay Pal of Anti-Narcotics Cell/North District, through a secret informer that one person namely Safiulla who is a member of inter-state drug syndicates and a resident of Bihar is involved in supplying contraband drugs would come near Overhead Tank, Delhi University Road, Delhi to supply the drugs to one his associates Ranjan Singh. If the raid is conducted well in time, the suppliers of contraband drugs might be apprehended with huge quantities of contraband drugs. The secret information was passed to the senior officers.
Immediately, a dedicated police team of Anti-Narcotics Cell/North District, led by SI Vijay Pal, comprising ASI Sanjeev Kumar, HC Praveen Saini, HC Ravinder Dhaka, HC Rakesh Singh, HC Dilbagh and Ct Vicky was formed to conduct the raid and to nab the culprit, under the close supervision of Inspr. Surender Singh, (In-charge Anti-Narcotics Cell/North District, guidance of Shri Dharmender Kumar, ACP/Operations North District, Delhi, and Sh. Prashant Chaudhary, ACP/Sub-Division Sarai Rohilla, Delhi.
As per the directions of senior officers and working on the secret information, the team of Anti-Narcotics Cell/North District without wasting any time, rushed to the place of information and laid a strategic trap there. Consequently, the dedicated efforts of the team bore fruit when at about 12:55 PM, they noticed one person coming from Bonta Park side to Delhi University Road near Overhead Tank, Delhi who stopped near Overhead Tank, Delhi. Meanwhile, another person came there and he also accompanied the 1st one. The dedicated police team of Anti-Narcotics instantly swung into action and overpowered both the suspected persons.(SUBHEAD)
After following all legal formalities as per the provisions contained in NDPS Act, their search was conducted, under the close supervision of Sh. Prashant Chaudhary, ACP/Sub-Division, Sarai Rohilla, Delhi, and total 600 grams Heroin/Smack was from their possession. The accused persons were identified as Safiulla, aged-58 years and Ranjan Singh, aged-45 years.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 116/23 dated 24.07.2023 u/s 21/29 NDPS Act was registered at PS Maurice Nagar, Delhi and investigation was taken up.
INTERROGATION: Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North District, Delhi, said during interrogation, the accused Safiulla, age 58 years disclosed that he is a shopkeeper in his village and his earning is very low so he fell greedy to earn easy money and started to supply the contraband Heroin/Smack. He delivers the contraband Heroin/Smack on the direction of Anil Singh and a Doctor, both resident of Bihar. On 24.07.2023, on the direction of Anil Singh, he had come in University area for supplying a stock of Heroin to his associate Ranjan Singh. But they were apprehended by a vigilant police team and total 600 Grams of Heroin/Smack (i.e. 320 gram from Safiulla and 280 gram from Ranjan Singh) was recovered.
Further, the accused Ranjan Singh, age 45 years disclosed that he is a farmer and he fell in greed to earn easy money and started to supply the contraband Heroin to various parts of Delhi and NCR with the association of Safiulla.
KNOW THE ACCCUSED: Safiulla r/o Village Kaunra, PS Jagdishpur, District Aara, Bihar, age-58 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified)., ranjan Singh r/o Village Sewtha, PS Sahar, District Aara, Bihar, age-45 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).
RECOVERY: Total 600 grams of Heroin/Smack. (i.e. 320 grams recovered from accused Safiulla and 280 grams from accused Ranjan Singh).
Further investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being continued in order to bust the whole syndicate of drug trafficking and to affect more recovery.
