KONARK CORPS CONDUCTS 750KM CYCLING EXPEDITION

Cycling expedition undertaken by the troops of Blazing Skies Brigade under the aegis of Konark Corps was flagged in at Jodhpur on Thursday. 

The expedition commenced on 24 June from Nasirabad and covered a distance of 750km in 13 days. The team comprised nine individuals including an officer. The ride spanned across the challenging country, arduous terrain covering the historical places of Haldighati, Kumbhalgarh and Barmer before culminating at Jodhpur. 

During the expedition, the team conducted awareness programs for residents, veterans and veer naris of various villages wherein the youth of the area were educated on Agnipath scheme and its benefits. The team in true spirit to the motto of 'Indian Army in Nation Building' touched thousands of hearts and minds across their journey and enlightened them on important environmental and social issues such as water conservation, Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign and Traffic Safety measures.
