A team of police officials of Anti-Narcotics Cell, Dwarka district, led by Insp. Subhash Chand, I/c Anti-Narcotics Cell, comprising W/SI Sapana Sharma, HC Sushil, HC Ashwani, HC Ajay, HC Gopal, HC Hetram, HC Kuldeep, HC Dinesh Kumar, and Ct Lokesh under the overall supervision of Sh. Ram Avtar, ACP/Ops Dwarka, has done a commendable job by arresting one foreigner drug peddler with the recovery of 80 grams of fine-quality amphetamine, 01 scooty & 01 mobile phone being used in the commission of the crime from his possession.
The staff of Anti-Narcotics Cell, Dwarka is tasked to develop intelligence and information regarding the drug traffickers, who are indulged in drug trafficking in Dwarka. Secret informers were also roped into the area to get intelligence and information.
On 02.07.2023, information was received by the team that an African national namely Ifeanyi will come to sell illegal Amphetamine drugs between 11:30 PM to 11:50 PM, at service road near DDA SFS Flats Society, Pocket-01, Sector-01, Dwarka, New Delhi. He can be nabbed red-handedly if the raid is conducted timely.(SUBHEAD)
In pursuance of the task the team reached the said address and a trap was laid by the team. Meanwhile, a person came on a scooty near DDA SFS Flats Society stopped his scooty on the service road, and started waiting for someone. At the instance of the informer, the person was apprehended by the team.
M. Harsha Vardhan, IPS, DCP, Dwarka Distt. said, on interrogation, he disclosed his identity as Ifeanyi Dalington R/o IMO state, Nigeria, Age 38 years. During his search, plastic polythene containing a white colour substance was recovered from his possession, which upon checking with the Field testing kit, was found to be Amphetamine, weighing 80 gm. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 297/23 U/s 8/22/25 NDPS Act was registered at PS Dwarka South.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused person had bought the seized drugs from an African person from the area of Chander Vihar, Delhi and to unearth the syndicate of illegal business of drugs further investigation is being carried on.
