The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Rouse Avenue Courts, New Delhi on Wednesday remanded an Enforcement Inspector & a Beldar of NDMC and a Sub-Inspector & Head Constable, both of Delhi Police to Judicial Custody in separate cases of bribery.
CBI has registered a case on 04.07.2023 against an Enforcement Inspector, NDMC, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi on complaint. It was alleged that the Enforcement Inspector, NDMC, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi was demanding bribe/undue advantage of Rs.15,000/- from the Complainant for allowing him to run his Rehri of Coconut Water at Sarojini Nagar Market, New Delhi and also threatened to seize the items if he did not pay the said bribe.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs.15,000/- from the Complainant. The Enforcement Inspector and a Beldar were arrested during investigation. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused at Faridabad and Delhi. A cash of Rs. 6 lakh (approx.) and documents related to properties were recovered from car/premises of said Enforcement Inspector.
(SUBHEAD)The other case was registered against a Sub-Inspector and a Head Constable of Delhi Police, both working in Police Station Paharganj, New Delhi & unknown others on complaint.
It was alleged that both the accused were demanding bribe/undue advantage of Rs.3 Lakh from the Complainant for not taking action in connection with the illegal borewell in the plot of the Complainant and for not stopping his ongoing construction work on the said plot. It was further alleged that the accused reduced the bribe to Rs.2.50 lakh on repeated request of Complainant.
CBI laid a trap and caught the Sub-Inspector and Head Constable while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs. 2 lakh from the Complainant. Both were arrested. Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused.
