The teams of Special Staff and PS Sangam Vihar, South District have done commendable work by arresting 05 accused persons namely Mukkaram @ Salim, Rahul Yavda and 03 desperate contract sharp shooters namely (1) Bunty (2) Vicky and (3) Aman who were actively involved in a shootout incident reported at PS Sangam Vihar vide FIR No. 420/23, dated 24/6/23, u/s 336/427/435/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act PS Sangam Vihar. From their possession, 02 sophisticated & high quality semi-automatic pistols along with 06 live round of 7.65 MM and 01 motorcycle used in crime were recovered.
On intervening night of 23 -24/06/23, one Ajjrudin R/o Sangam Vihar was present with his intimates Iqbal Ali, Kadir, Mukkaram and Asif @ Dee near Jat Dharam Shala, G Block Sangam Vihar. After some time, they had a clash with Bablu Harsana, Ankit Harsana and one unknown (associate of them). Ajjrudin and Iqbal Ali sustained minor injuries during that clash and they ran away from the spot. Ajjrudin and Iqbal Ali are close friends of Mukkaram, who also has a criminal background and famous one (as Bhai) among the local criminals of Sangam Vihar & Tigri area. The few members of Bablu & Ankit group went to Mukkaram’s house and the matter was sorted out amicably.
On the other hand Mukkaram called his known Aman (a sharpshooter) at his house. Hence, Aman and his associates Abhishek, Vicky, Bunty and Rahul reached there and conspired to teach a lesson to the other party who had clash with Iqbal and Mukkaram. Thereafter, they fired there with their fire arms and set fire on the gate of a house in the area and ran away from the spot. Hence, a Case FIR No. 420/23, dated 24/6/23, U/s 336/427/435/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS SangamVihar and investigation was taken up.
Further, as per statement of Ajjrudin, a separate case was registered vide FIR No. 422/23, dated 24/6/23, U/s 341/323/34 IPC, PS Sangam Vihar against Bablu Harsana and Ankit Harsana and investigation was taken up.
Accordingly, a team consisting of SI Talib Khan, HC Praveen Sharma, HC Lakhmi, HC Sohan Lal and Ct. Devender led by SHO/Sangam Vihar under overall supervision of ACP/Sangam Vihar was formed to nab the criminals. Further, another team consisting of SI Jay Kishan, ASI Joginder Singh, ASI Ashok Kumar, ASI Om Prakash, HC Jugal Bhati, HC Sandeep Dhayal, HC Rakesh, HC Anoop, HC Krishan & Ct. Akhilesh led by Inspr. Manish Chaudhary, I/C Special Staff/SD under supervision of ACP/Ops/SD was specifically tasked to nab the criminals behind the incident.
During the course of investigation, the team collected some vital and key inputs through technical sources and purified the key inputs and dug out of board some more important inputs through manual as well as technical surveillance. CCTV footages of different areas were collected and meticulously analyzed. Photos of some suspects were developed and circulated through police net to get their identity and location.(SUBHEAD)
The perseverance and efforts of the team bore fruits when in the afternoon of 26/06/2023, Ct. Akhilesh got a specific information about movement of 03 persons involved in Sangam Vihar shootout incident in C.R. Park area. After getting such an important key input the team swung into action and laid a trap near GK Metro Station in the jurisdiction of PS CR Park. At about 05:50 PM, 03 suspects on a motorcycle were spotted by the secret informer while they were coming towards Chirag Delhi. They were signaled to stop at a checking point but sensing the presence of Police, they started running away from the spot but the vigilant staff successfully intercepted and overpowered them. Upon their search, 02 sophisticated & high quality semi-automatic pistols along with 06 live rounds of 7.65 mm bore were recovered from their possession. Later on, they were identified as (1) Bunty (2) Vicky and (3) Aman. In this regard, a case FIR No. 150/23, Dt. 26/06/2023, u/s 25 Arms Act, was registered at PS C. R. Park. Moreover, 02 more accused persons namely Mukkaram @ Salim and Rahul Yadav were also arrested and the recovered 02 sophisticated & high quality semi-automatic pistols along with 06 live rounds of 7.65 mm bore, live rounds and 01 motorcycle were seized.
INTERROGATION: Mr. Chandan Chowdhary IPS, DCP, South Distt, said, during the course of interrogation, accused Aman disclosed that he procured 02 fire arms and live rounds from one Dharma, a resident of Bihar to be famous gangster/sharpshooter. He admitted his guilt of being involved as a conspirator & for implementation of sensational shootout incident at H Block Gali No. 16, with the help of his associates, Vicky, Bunty, Rahul on the directions of Mukkaram. He also disclosed that he provided the logistic support and arms & ammunitions to his associates Vicky, Bunty, & Rahul. Accused Vicky and Bunty also supported the disclosure of accused Aman and both of them admitted their guilt of being involved in shoot out incident of PS Sangam Vihar area.
PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED: – 1. Aman S/o Ganesh R/o Sangam Vihar, New Delhi, age – 24 years. He is a mobile phone mechanic and studied upto 11th standard. He always wanted to be a famous gangster, so he started with his criminal carrier with petty quarrelsome and later on he involved in serious crime like armed robbery attempt to murder etc. He was previously found to be involved in 02 criminal cases:-
1 FIR No. 460/2020, U/s 393/398/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Mayur Vihar
2 FIR No. 454/2022, U/s 307/427/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Sangam Vihar
2. Vicky S/o Bahadur R/o Dakshinpuri, Delhi, age – 23 years. He has studied upto 10th standard. He also always wanted to be a famous criminal, so he started with his criminal carrier with petty quarrelsome. His antecedents are being verified.
3. Bunty S/o Mukesh R/o Subash Camp, Dakshinpuri, New Delhi, age – 21 years. He has studied upto 9th standard. He always wanted to earn easy money and wanted to be a famous criminal, so he also started with his criminal carrier with petty quarrelsome. His antecedents are also being verified.
4. Mukkaram @ Salim S/o Shamshad, R/o Sangam Vihar, age – 55 years. Permanent R/o Village – Tilbegampur, Murdare Mohalla, PS- Sikandrabad, Distt. Bulandshahar, UP. He is previously found to be involved in case FIR No. 721/2015 U/s 307/506/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Sangam Vihar Delhi.
5. Rahul Yadav S/o Ramesh Yadav R/o Sangam Vihar, Delhi, age – 21 years
