MLA Sandeep Jakhar gave a call to the parents to be more vigilant about the company that their wards love to enjoy after returning from educational institutions or work place. “Our aim is to make the subdivisional town clean and green through the “Apna Abohar, Apni Abha '' campaign under which fortnightly camps were being organized in different localities.

We are seeking help from Surinder Jakhar Trust also to organise sports tournaments to keep youths away from drugs and other evils by making them active in sports and social welfare activities, he said.

(SUBHEAD)Dozens of syringes, emptied intoxicating syrup and pills packs were on Saturday found during the cleanliness drive launched under the banner of “Apna Abohar, Apni Abha '' at the sports stadium in Azeemgarh. MLA Jakhar, who led the volunteers in dusting the playground and removal of garbage that had piled up there, said this was a testimony of the drug menace that continued to grip the area for the past few years. He urged the police administration to tackle the menace more powerfully else youth power will get ruined, he warned. Some of the washroom doors in the stadium had also been damaged apparently by drug addicts.

Mayor Vimal Thatai said the drive launched by the NGO has helped in making the city clean and green but we want to make it free from drugs also, it will be possible only when people cooperate in letter and spirit with the administration.
