A race was organized today from the district administrative complex Fazilka on the International Women's Day, it was concluded at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium. District and Sessions Judge Jatinder Kaur, SSP Avneet Kaur Sidhu, ADC Dr. Mandeep Kaur were also present on the occasion.
DC Dr. Duggal said that society cannot exist without women. Today women are proving their existence in every sector of the society. The enthusiasm with which women have participated in today's district level event proves the strength of their claim in public places.
(SUBHEAD)After the conclusion of the race at the Stadium, a cultural program was organised and exciting games were held in which women participated with great enthusiasm. A passionate Gatka was played by the girls from village Wahabwala. A solo play on Amrita Pritam by Neha Kamboj, a student of Govt Sr Sec School Diwankhera, dances by little girl Sejal and by Divyang Rekha made the event even more entertaining.
DC Dr. Duggal joined women in folk dance. Saplings were planted and distributed to the guests. Red Cross Society Fazilka also distributed hygiene kits to women.
