THE SENATE HAS APPROVED THE EXTENSION OF PROFESSOR RENU VIG, UIET, P.U. AS DEAN OF UNIVERSITY INSTRUCTION UPTO 31.10.2023.

Panjab University in its Senate Meeting held on Sunday deliberated on all the agenda items, few of them are as follows:
The Senate has approved the appointment of Prof. Jatinder Grover, as Dean of Student Welfare.
The Senate has approved the designation of Additional Chief Medical Officer w.e.f. 1.2.2021 to Dr. Kamiksha Narda Sharma, Senior Medical Officer, PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur.
The Senate has adopted UGC notification regarding UGC Regulations, 2022(Academic collaboration between Indian and Foreign Higher Educational Institutions) to offer Twinning, Joint Degree and Dual Degree Programmes.
(SUBHEAD)The Senate has approved the recommendations of the committee to allow the BDS students for one year internship course in Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital who passed their BDS course from other Dental Colleges.
The Senate has allowed the amendment with regard to Provident Fund of temporary/daily wage/contractual employees etc. of PU.
The Senate has also allowed the minutes of the Committee to discuss/recommend the honorium to be paid to the outside experts (from abroad).
The Senate has allowed the recommendations dated 13.5.2022, 21.6.2022 and 13.7.22 of Regulation Committee. The Senate has allowed the recommendations of the Mechanism Committee dated 18.7.22 regarding Rules/Regulations of B.Sc. Nursing(Semester System).
The Senate has allowed the recommendations dated 11.8.22 and 22.9.22 of the Regulations Committee.The Senate has allowed the effectiveness of amended Regulation 11(D) (ii) w.r.t earned leave to the teachers from 30.6.1989 instead of date of publication in Govt. of India Gazette.The Senate has recommended the name of Sh. Honey Thakur and Dr. Jagwant as two fellows as members of the Board of Finance for one year term i.e. 1.2.22 to 31.1.23.
The Senate has approved the extension of Professor Renu Vig, UIET, P.U. as Dean of University Instruction upto 31.10.2023.
