External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, while addressing the Gulf Day event at Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar, said that the Abu Dhabi temple story was referred to as a miracle.

(MOREPIC1)  It is. It is also diplomacy and relationships, a story of hearts and minds, and a story of the generosity of kings. But ultimately, it is the result of divine Providence. Abu Dhabi’s temple is one miracle, and the second will happen in Bahrain. This is something greater than a miracle. This temple was the dream and prediction of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. BAPS temples are being built across the world, including in Paris, South Africa, Thailand and elsewhere.

(SUBHEAD)“When the war erupted in Ukraine, around 20,000 Indian students were stranded in the cold. They needed to be brought home. While the Indian government was trying to decide what to do, BAPS brought volunteers from 11 countries to the Polish border and served hot meals three times a day. I was meeting other ministers of bordering countries who still remember the selfless spirit of BAPS volunteers who helped not only other Indians but people of other countries and ethnicities”, he said.

Other speakers were Ashok Kotecha, a BAPS volunteer from the UAE, Akshardham Gandhinagar incharge Atmaswarup Swami, Brahmavihari Swami, former CEO of the Abu Dhabi Investment Council Nazem Al-Kudsi, Dr Bassam Alkhatib, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to India, YliasAkbaraly Chairman & CEO of Groupe Sipromad in Madagascar, Dr Aman Puri Consul General of India in Dubai, Dr. D. VeerendraHeggadeDharmadhikari of Shree KshetraDharmasthala Karnataka, Thomas Perez former Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights (USA),

Mahant Swami Maharaj said,” When I was in the UAE (in 2019), the Sheikh lovingly welcomed us. I remember that he was overcome with emotion at our meeting. I, too, did not think that he was different from us. We are all one family.”
