At the Medico-Spiritual Conference organised as a part of Pramukh Swami Maharaj Birth Centenary Celebrations, Brahmavihari Swami said that Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar, working in harmony with human life, can inspire restraint in all of you.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj had explained that spirituality is not a cyclone, it should be like a cool breeze, which man can easily accept. Pramukh Swami Maharaj changed the definition of spirituality. He freed 40 lakh people from drug addiction.
His love changed people's lives by saying that if you want change, it will come from love. Pramukh Swami Maharaj did everything with selfless love. Belief in a power and purpose greater than ourselves, self-restraint, goodwill and compassion for others will bring peace to our lives. In the welcome address Mahavir Singh Jadeja, President, Gujarat Darshan said that in 1990 Pramukh Swami Maharaj had sanctified my house in Bhavnagar and I feel blessed to be a part of the organizing team after 32 years in Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar. After coming here, we learned management.
Gyanvatsal Swami said that Pramukh Swami Maharaj had persevered in the face of adversity, developed a positive attitude and as a result BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha has the consultative status in the United Nations. The wonderful temple at Neasden in London became possible only because of the great faith and hard work of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. To be positive in life and develop equanimity, one must understand that God is omnipresent.
Dr. Mahadev Desai said that today I feel proud to be a vegetarian with the inspiration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. When I met him 40 years ago, he asked me to write an article on vegetarianism. I thought that I can write on this subject only after being a complete vegetarian. Vegetarianism should be adopted for compassion towards living beings, non-violence, sattvic food and spiritual upliftment. The program was inaugurated by dignitaries with lighting of traditional lamps.
