After the intervention of the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes, the resident of village Chhaju Majra district Mohali got a way to go home.

Divulging in this regard, a member of the SC Commission, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur said that she had received a complaint from a resident of village Chhaju Majra District Mohali, that the road leading to his house was closed by built a wall and a shed on the way. The complaint was found to be correct after the member of the SC Commission went to the spot and investigated.

In view of the above complaint, while sending the same to the Municipal Council Kharar, it was written that the dung heaps and sheds should also be removed while taking action as per the rules. The complainant told the commission that no action was taken by the Municipal Council Kharar.
The Commission again wrote to the SDM and Executive Officer Kharar that for not taking immediate action, action should be taken against the officers/employees dereliction of duty under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocity) Act, 1989.

Now the Municipal Council Kharar has given a written report to the Scheduled Caste Commission that the illegal encroachment and the shed has been removed. The complainant has been provided a path to his home.
