Border Security Force (BSF) troops on Tuesday morning foild nefarious design bid of smugglers and recovered contraband heroin worth Rs. 5 crores in international market.
BSF spokesman said, while carrying out area domination patrol ahead of border fence on specific information observed suspicious packet planted in the soil on Dhusi Bandh near Village – Dona Telu Mal, District – Ferozepur.
On opening of packet, troops recovered 01 packet of narcotics suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt. – 960 gms) wrapped inyellow colour polythene, hence BSF troops, once again were able to foil nefarious design of smugglers.
Earlier on December 8 also, the troops belonging to 136 Battalion had recovered eight packets of heroin weighing 2.6 kg along with one pistol, a magazine and six live rounds near BOP DT Mall area.
