Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann  on Tuesday in communication to Governor Sh. Banwari Lal Purhit said, that if for some reason IPS Officer of Punjab Cadre Kuldeep Singh Chahala was to be repartiated as SSP Chandigarh, Governor should have sought panel from Punjab as the UT SSP post traditionally occupied by Punjab State as well as DC Post from Haryana.

Bhagwant Mann in his letter said that, I am surprised to learnt that Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal IPS Punjab Cadre 2009 batch have repartiated to Punjab pre maturely and the charge of this Post has been given to Haryana Cadre  IPS officer.

Mann expressed unhappiness of the whole episode said that SSP charge to Haryana Cadre Officer will disturb the balance among the states in running of affairs of UT Chandigarh.

(MOREPIC2) Bhagwant Maan express hope that Governor may seek panel from Punjab Cadre IPS  officers for the post of SSP Chandigarh at the earliest possible.

It may be recalled that Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal was relieve from the post of SSP with immediately effect on Monday and given Charge to Ms. Manisha Chaudhary, IPS office of Haryana Cadre.
