SOCIAL WELFARE SOCIETY DISTRIBUTES 40 QUILTS TO NEEDY

Providing quilts to the needy due to protect them from biting cold is an act of great virtue, Surinder Sachdeva, President of Municipal Council Fazilka, expressed this in a program organized at Freedom Fighter Lala Sunam Rai Memorial Center in the first phase of the fourth annual quilt distribution project of Social Welfare Society Fazilka.

On the occasion, 40 quilts were distributed to the needy. Society president Shashikant, his wife Renuka and brother Divyakantprovided the quilts in the memory of their late mother Chanderkanta. Along with this, retired officer of State Bank of India Abohar S.K. Chhabra and his wife Kusum, whose son Sourav Chhabra and daughter-in-law Hitakshi are settled in Calgary, Canada also made their contribution.

MC president Sachdeva and the office bearers of the society honored Divyakantwith a memento. Social media in-charge Sandeep Aneja and project in-charge Ravi Juneja said that after identifying the needy, more quilts will be distributed in the second and third phase. Press Council President Praful Chander Nagpal, Charanjit Kaur Maini, SBI Deputy Manager Vijay Singla, retired Tehsildar Mohinder Tripathi, Naresh Juneja, Subodh Chander Nagpal and others were present.
