Continuing the drive against Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, a dedicated team of Special Staff North District comprising SI Praveen Sharma, ASI Rajeev, ASI Jag Om, HC Amit & HC Devender under the supervision of Shri Ajay Kumar, Insp Special Staff and overall supervision & guidance of Shri Dhermender Kumar, ACP Operations, arrested a drug peddler namely Jasraj Singh @ Sam, who was supplying drugs from Kasol Himachal Pradesh..
(MOREPIC1)A Secret Information was received wherein it was informed that a Drug Peddler, Jasraj will come to Kashmere Gate Metro Station for supplying narcotics substances. On receiving of the information a team comprising ASI Rajeev, ASI Jag Om, HC Amit & HC Devender was created, The information was further shared with senior officers and as per their directions the above said police team rushed to the place of information and laid a strategic trap. Subsequently, one person namely Jasraj Singh @ Sam R/o Pragati Enclave Burari Delhi Age 20 Years was apprehended and upon his search 176 Grams of Charas & 4.60 Gram of Methaqualone (MD) was recovered from the possession of the accused.(SUBHEAD)
Sub-sequently, a case vide FIR No 596/2022 Dated 07/12/2022 U/s 20/21 NDPS Act PS Kashmeri Gate was registered and investigation is being carried out.
Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS, DCP, North Distt, said, during interrogation accused, Jasraj Singh @ Sam disclosed that he is a residence of Delhi as is professionally a Tattoo Artist. While he was in Delhi, he came to know that there is a lot of scope for tattoo artist in Kasol so he shifted there and started Tattoo Artist business along with a food corner in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh and came in contact with drug peddlers and drug-users there.
He developed contacts with them to earn easy money and started supplying drugs to his contacts in Delhi. Accused Jasraj @ Sam also disclosed that he used his Tattoo Art as mode of payment for buying drugs. He used to make costly tattoos for drug suppliers and in return taking drugs from them as payment. He further revealed that he was going to Maharashtra to supply drugs to one of his contacts while he was arrested.
The accused Jasraj Singh @ Sam R/o Pragati Enclave, Burari, Delhi Age 20 Years.(His previous antecedents are being verified).
RECOVERY: • 176 Grams of Charas • 4.60 Gram of Methaqualone (MD).
The investigation of the case is in progress to identify and unearth the main source of supply of the drugs as well as to ascertain the role of other persons indulged in these activities.
