The High Level Drug Disposal Committee and District Level Drug Disposal committees disposed of 215 kg heroin, 1666 kg poppy husk, 86000 intoxicating tablets besides other intoxicating materials, this was stated by Jaskaran Singh IG Ferozepur Range in a press communique released from the IG office.
(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)As per the press release, the Ferozepur police disposed of 138.5 kg heroin, 1187 kg poppy husk, 62470 intoxicating tablets and other material, which were recovered in 109 NDPS cases.
The Fazilka police disposed of 57.264 kg heroin, 479.100 kg poppy husk, 2500 intoxicating tablets, 316 gram smack and other material recovered in 66 NDPS cases and the Tarn Taran police disposed of 19.226 kg heroin, 21100 intoxicating tablets along with 496 capsules recovered in 91 NDPS cases.
(SUBHEAD)The IG said that this intoxicating material was disposed of at one of the agro plant in Ghallkhurd block in Ferozepur in the presence of Ferozepur SSP Surinder Lamba, Tarn Taran SSP Ranjit Singh Dhillon and Fazilka SSP Bhupinder Singh besides other senior police officials.
The high level drug disposable committee disposed of 197.408 kg heroin recovered in 21 cases and the district level drug committees disposed of 17.637 kg heroin, 1666.550 kg poppy husk, 86070 pills, 496 capsules, 1.35 kg Ganja, 316 gram smack, 535 gram powder and 5 gram charas which were recovered in 245 cases in Ferozepur, Tarn Taran and Fazilka.
