With the aim of making Abohar a clean and green city, a cleanliness drive was carried out at Ramlila Ground by the Apna Abohar Apni Abha team under the leadership of MLA Sandeep Jakhar. The purpose of this campaign is to rise above politics and contribute towards making the city clean and beautiful. MC Mayor Vimal Thatai was also present.
(SUBHEAD)Jakhar urged the people to keep the surrounding environment clean, do not throw dirt in the canals, avoid use of polythene and single use plastic as they affect the sewerage system and pollute the environment. “It is our responsibility to conserve water and maintain the environment, it is our duty to keep them clean in any condition. I am thankful to the volunteers for their selfless cooperation and appeal to all residents of the city to also join this campaign and contribute to social welfare, he said.
The disciples of Ashutosh Maharaj provided refreshments to all the volunteers on the occasion. The members of Shri Sanatan Dharma Pracharak Ram Natak Club also joined the volunteers in the drive.
