Border Security Force (BSF) troops reportedly recovered eight packets of contraband heroin worth 20 crores in Amritsar Sector on Tuesday morning.
BSF spokesman from Jalandhar Punjab Frontier Head Quarter, said, during morning hours, on specific input Border Security Force troops while carrying – out Special operation noticed a suspicious bag of cloth (multicolor) ahead of B S Fence, in AOR of Amritsar Sector.
On opening of this bag, 07 pkts of contraband suspected to be narcotics were recovered from 01 white coloured polythene (06 pkts wrapped in yellow adhesive colored tape and 01 small packets wrapped in black coloured adhesive tape).
(MOREPIC2)(SUBHEAD)During further search of the area, party recovered 01 blue colored polythene, containing 01 Pkt of contraband, suspected to be narcotics wrapped in black adhesive tape.
RECOVERY: 7 packets heroin – Gross wEight 3.630 Kg and 1 packet opium – Wt – 40 gms
BSF spokesman further said, vigilant BSF troops once again foiled the nefarious attempt of Anti national elements to smuggle contrabands.
