The BSF sleuths on Tuesday recovered huge cache of assault weapons and ammunition near border outpost (BOP) Joginder in the alignment of the border pillar 212/11 along Indo-Pak border in this border district.
As per information, the BSF troop deployed at border outpost Raja Mohattam observed a flying object, a suspected drone which was blinking with white and red color light and was coming towards the Indian side. Latrr, the BSF troops opened fire towards the drone.(SUBHEAD)
BSF officials said that the BSF troops fired several rounds toward the flying object using SMG rifles. Later, the BSF carried out search operation during which they recovered two white plastic gunny bags concealed under dry grass..
During the search of the bags, the BSF seized firearms and ammunition which included three Pakistan made semi-automatic AK series assault rifles along with six magazines, 2 M4 carbines (5.56 mm) with four magazines and two pistols ( .30 bore caliber) along with two magazines.
