SPECIAL TRAFFIC DRIVE LAUNCHED BY FEROZEPUR POLICE

In order to maintain law and order in the border district, a special drive was carried out by the district police during which 33 nakas were set up in the entire district on Saturday evening. More than 650 police personnel checked the vehicles and removed black films on the windows of the cars besides those vehicles were impounded from which sharp weapons baseball bats were recovered.

Led by SSP Surinder Lamba, these nakas were laid mainly at Cantonment Chungi No. 7, Killewala Chowk, Talwandi Chowk, Saiyanwala, Udham Singh Chowk, Mallanwal, Jeera, Gurharsahai, Mamdot, Lakho Ke Behram and other places.

SSP Surindra Lamba said that this special campaign has been launched for three hours (from 4 pm to 7 pm) in the entire state on the instructions of the DGP. “No criminal activity shall be allowed during in this district and nobody will be allowed to take law into their hands. However, we are also ensuring that the common people does not face any problem due to these nakas”, said SSP Lamba.

On this occasion DSP Surinder Bansal along with other police officials were present.
