The staff of PS Sunlight Colony of Southeast Distt. has arrested one desperate criminal Deepak Yadav. With his arrest, one button actuated knife and a motorcycle have been recovered from his possession.
On 13.05.2022, SI Narender, HC Yadveer, Ct Vinay, Ct Shankar and Ct Vijay were patrolling in police station area. During patrolling, they reached IP Park where they saw a person on a motorcycle who took a sharp U turn after seeing the police party.
He was asked to stop but he tried to escape towards ITO. The police staff followed and overpowered him after a short chase. On asking about his presence at the said location, he could not provide any satisfactory reply. On cursory search, he was found carrying a button actuated knife. On enquiry, he was identified Deepak Yadav R/o Madhapura, Bihar age 19 yrs. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 266/22 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Sunlight Colony. With his arrest, one button actuated knife and a motorcycle have been recovered from his possession.
INTERROGATION: Ms. Esha Pandey, IPS, DCP, South East, said, on sustained interrogation, accused Deepak disclosed that he had committed a case in which he fired upon a person in Ludhiana over a petty dispute. Then he fled away from the spot on his motorcycle. Now, he was planning to flee away to Nepal after reaching his hometown in Bihar to evade his arrest but apprehended by the police staff. Ludhiana Police have been informed.
