BLOOD STAINED CLOTHES USED IN COMMISSION OF OFFENCE RECOVERED

The staff of PS Kalkaji of Southeast District has arrested one lady Swarnali Ghosh along with her boyfriend Mohanpal @ Shantun for the murder of her husband. With their arrest, blood stained clothes used in commission of offence were recovered and a sensational murder case has been worked out.
Police said on May 13, a PCR call was received at PS Kalkaji regarding one person lying unconscious in a house at Kalkaji, Delhi. The police staff immediately rushed to the spot where they found one person was lying upside down on bed having stab injury on his neck. Thereafter, Crime team and Forensic Team inspected the spot and lifted the exhibits and took the photographs of scene of crime. Dead body was shifted to A.I.I.M.S hospital for medical examination and preserved in AIIMS mortuary for Post Mortem. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 386/22 u/s 302/34 was registered at P.S. Kalkaji and investigation of the case was taken up.
Sensing the gravity of offence, a dedicated team comprising Inspr. Nitin, SI Prakash Chand, SI Ravi Kumar, SI Roshan Lal, SI Manu Dev, Ct Bijender, Ct Narender, Ct. Manish (CDR Section) and W/Ct Shasi Bala led by SHO/Kalkaji under the Supervision of ACP/Kalkaji was constituted to nab the culprits. The police team immediately swung into action and checked all the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity.
The team involved secret informers in the investigation of the case and local intelligence were also developed. Dump data and call detail records of wife of deceased namely Swarnali Ghosh R/o Kalkaji, Delhi were also collected. During the course of investigation, the murder mystery was solved after a lengthy interrogation with deceased wife.

Further, she disclosed that she along with her boyfriend Mohanpal @ Shantun killed her husband. Thereafter, the team traced the location of mobile phone of her boyfriend namely Mohanpal @ Shantun who was in a hurry to leave Delhi to reach his native place in Siliguri (West Bengal) to evade arrest but he was busted near Select City Mall, Saket. On enquiry, he was identified as Mohanpal @ Shantun s/o Gyanendranath Pal R/o Kalkaji, Delhi age 35 yrs. During the course of investigation, he confessed his crime. With their arrest, blood stained clothes used in commission of offence were recovered. Further investigation of the case is under progress.
INTERROGATION: On sustained interrogation, both accused persons confessed their crime. They disclosed that they are amateur singers at Star Maker App. Further, accused Swarnali disclosed that she had an affair with accused Mohanpal @ Shantun from past 02 years. She further disclosed that her husband used to beat her regularly. Out of rage, she planned to kill her husband with her boyfriend. After commission of crime, accused Mohanpal threw weapon of offence i.e knife and blood stained clothes used in commission of offence in a drain at Saket, Delhi.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS: Accused Swarnali Ghosh w/o arjun Ghosh R/o Kalkaji, Delhi age 32 yrs has studied up to BA. She used to be work as a service provider at Max hospital and PSRI hospital. No previous involvement has been found against her.
Accused Mohanpal @ Shantun s/o Gyanendranath Pal R/o Kalkaji, Delhi age 35 yrs has studied up to Bsc. He used to be work as a service provider at Max hospital and PSRI hospital. No previous involvement has been found against him.
