AMBASSADOR OF FRANCE TO INDIA VISITS AT PU

Ambassador of France to India Mr. Emmanuel Lenain accompanied by Prof. Sangeeta Bagga, Principal, Chandigarh College of Architecture visited ‘Panjab University Library’ because of its ‘Heritage Status’ and unique architectural style. AC Joshi Library of Panjab University has been designed by Pierre Jeanneret, a team member of Le Corbusier.

Mr. Lenain was impressed by the architectural design of staircases, reading halls, design of stack area, etc. He enthusiastically expressed his views about PU Library as – ‘so lucky are the students sitting there all the day’

Dr.Jivesh Bansal, University Librarian welcomed the guests and introduced about various facilities and facts about the PU Library. Mr. Vikram Singh, Chief of University Security also present the occasion.
