DAV COLLEGE SECTOR-10 HOSTS PRE-EVENT CELEBRATIONS UNDER MERA YUVA BHARAT’S VIKSIT BHARAT YUVA CONNECT PROGRAM

As part of the pre-event activities for the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program (VBYCP), the NSS Unit and Electoral Literacy Club of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organized a vibrant Poetry Competition and Rangoli Competition on the theme “Viksit Bharat@2047.”

The initiative aimed to creatively engage the youth with the national vision of a developed India by 2047, promoting civic awareness and a spirit of active nation-building.

The event was graced by Dr. Mona Narang, Principal, DAV College, and Dr. Nemi Chand, State NSS Officer, Chandigarh, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and lauded their dedication towards the national cause.

Sh. Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Chandigarh and Sh. Sachin Singla, Assistant Public Relations Officer, Chandigarh Administration, served as judges for the competitions. Both dignitaries encouraged the students with their motivating remarks and emphasized the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of the nation.

These competitions were part of the build-up to the grand national launch of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program scheduled on 12th August 2025 (International Youth Day). The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji, will inaugurate the program virtually. The main event will be held concurrently in over 1,300 premier institutions across the country, aiming to inspire youth participation in the Viksit Bharat@2047 mission.

The enthusiastic response and creative expression witnessed during the events at DAV College reflected the patriotic zeal and innovative spirit of today’s youth, effectively setting the tone for broader engagement under the VBYCP initiative.

Youth across the country are encouraged to participate in the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program through the MY Bharat portal of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India: www.mybharat.gov.in
