CONGRESS IS AFRAID OF VB-G RAM G, THE BIGGEST OPPONENT OF TRANSPARENCY AND DEVELOPMENT: KAINTH

Face2News/Chandigarh

Paramjit Singh Kainth, Vice President of the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha Punjab, launched a sharp attack on the Congress, stating that its opposition to the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) is proof that it fears transparency, accountability, and the genuine development of rural India. Spreading false rumours and misleading people about a scheme that has not even been implemented yet reflects Congress’s desperate and negative politics.

Kainth said that before commenting on MGNREGA, Congress should first account for the scams that took place during its tenure. The country has witnessed fake job cards, bogus muster rolls, works existing only on paper, exploitation by middlemen, poor-quality construction, and labourers waiting for months to receive their wages. In many places, MGNREGA had become synonymous with corruption, and Congress is now defending that failed model.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government’s vision is not limited to providing daily wages but is focused on creating sustainable employment, skill development, self-employment opportunities, strong rural infrastructure, and self-reliant livelihoods for rural families. VB-G RAM G is a transformative reform that will give a new direction to rural development in India, with the primary objective of ensuring transparent utilisation of every rupee and direct delivery of benefits to every eligible beneficiary.

Kainth said that Congress’s real concern is not the introduction of a new scheme but the fact that a transparent system will leave no room for corruption, middlemen, or political patronage. Those who remained accustomed to irregularities in welfare schemes for years are now uncomfortable with an accountable system.

He further said that despite ruling for decades under the slogan of “Garibi Hatao,” Congress failed to eradicate poverty, strengthen rural India, or bring meaningful change to the lives of farmers, labourers, and the Scheduled Caste community. Today, as the Modi Government is introducing transparent and result-oriented reforms, Congress is levelling baseless allegations because it sees its political ground slipping away.

Kainth stated that if any state government has constructive suggestions, the Central Government will welcome them. However, opposing reforms without even studying them is nothing but an attempt to obstruct the country’s development. Congress has consistently opposed every initiative that strengthens transparency, technology, and accountability.

He said that the success of VB-G RAM G will not be judged by Congress’s political statements but by its outcomes on the ground. When new employment opportunities are created in rural areas, durable community assets are developed, youth acquire new skills, and villages become economically stronger, the people of India themselves will decide who stands for development and who is engaged in spreading misinformation.

Paramjit Singh Kainth welcomed the decision of the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to notify the VB-G RAM G scheme, calling it a positive step towards rural development, employment generation, and economic empowerment in Punjab. He said that the notification issued by the Punjab Government is clear evidence that, ultimately, public interest and the agenda of development have been accepted. He expressed hope that the State Government will implement the scheme with complete honesty, transparency, and efficiency so that rural labourers, farmers, Scheduled Castes, backward classes, and economically weaker families in Punjab receive its maximum benefits.

BJP Leader Kainth said that this is the biggest example of Congress’s double standards. On one hand, the Punjab Government has already notified the VB-G RAM G scheme, while on the other hand, Congress continues to oppose it and mislead the public. He said that if the scheme were truly harmful, the Punjab Government would never have issued a notification for its implementation. Congress should abandon its politics of baseless opposition and instead play a constructive role in the development of rural India.

Kainth reiterated that the Bharatiya Janata Party remains fully committed to protecting the interests of rural labourers, farmers, Scheduled Castes, backward classes, youth, and economically weaker families. The BJP firmly stands with every policy that eliminates corruption, strengthens transparency, creates new employment opportunities, and transforms the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” into reality.
