TALENT SHINES AT ENGLISH LITERARY SOCIETY’S “LITERARY MANIFESTATIONS”

The English Literary Society, operating under the Department of English at Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Abohar, organized an event titled “Literary Manifestations: Voices, Verses, and Visuals.”

The event featured a variety of activities; including calligraphy, declamation, poetry recitation, puzzles games, an antonym game, and “Quizola”—a literary quiz. The topic for the declamation contest was “The Angry Young Indian: Anarchy or Awakening?”, while the theme for poetry recitation was “Nepal Disaster: Dusty Everest, Teary Earth.”

Participating enthusiastically, the students showcased their creativity, literary understanding, expressive skills, and intellectual capabilities. These activities helped foster self-confidence, logical thinking, and an interest in literature among the students.

Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa praised the dedication and cooperation of Head of Department Dr. Seema Somani, Co-convener Amandeep Kaur, and the organizing team—comprising Ramanjit, Devraj, Rakesh, Anku, Raina, and Heena. She emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing and encouraging the students’ literary talent.
