Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused including accused Branch Manager of Bihar Gramin Bank, Babhangama Branch, Sitamarhi (Bihar) and as daily wager employee (private person) for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant.
A case was registered by CBI on 29/05/25 against said accused on allegations that accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant for releasing the subsidy amount related to already sanctioned and disbursed PMEGP loan to the complainant in 2022.
CBI laid a trap and caught both the accused red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant. Later, both accused were arrested and will be produced before the Court of Spl. Judge, CBI, Patna on 30/05/2025.
Searches were conducted by CBI at residential and official premises of the accused at Sitamarahi (Bihar) which led to recovery incriminating documents. Investigation is continuing.
