SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND REAFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

In a solemn ceremony held at the historic Naggi War Memorial Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander South Western Command felicitated 46 meritorious students with the prestigious Atul Maheshwari Scholarship, awarded in collaboration with the Amar Ujala Foundation. 

A key highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of the majestic 72-foot-high National Flag, installed by the Flag Foundation of India. The flag is standing tall at the memorial site as a towering emblem of unity, pride and sacrifice. 

(SUBHEAD)The Army Commander extended heartfelt appreciation to the students and their families; applauded their determination to pursue education despite adversity. Praising the young achievers, he said that these young achievers represent the bright future of our nation. Their success is a testament to the power of hard work and perseverance. 

He further commended the Amar Ujala Foundation for empowering students from underprivileged backgrounds, stating that the scholarship not only provided financial aid but also inspires confidence and instill a sense of purpose, encouraging youth to be the role models in society. 

Lt Gen Manjinder Singh paid homage to the Indian soldiers who bravely repelled a surprise intrusion shortly after the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The bravery of our soldiers is forever etched into the soil of Naggi, he said.
