An online meeting of the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD, Kolkata), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, had an in-depth brainstorming on the welfare of Divyang persons.

Executive Member Dr Mohit Tantia expressed the need to expand the scope of NILD so that the positive impact of these efforts is visible in all sectors of the country. This is also important because the decisions taken in such meetings form the basis of the upcoming welfare schemes and the Government of India takes these suggestions very seriously and decides the direction of the policies to be made in support of the disabled.
