The Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation celebrated the 95th death anniversary of the great revolutionary heroes of the subcontinent—Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar—was commemorated with profound zeal and revolutionary spirit. Candles were lit to pay tribute to the martyrs, while the atmosphere resonated with powerful slogans of “Long Live the Revolution.”

The ceremony was presided over by Chairman Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi. Patron-in-Chief Raja Zulqarnain Advocate Supreme Court, Senior Vice Chairman Malik Ihtesham-ul-Hassan, Dr. Shahid Naseer, and Syed Waqar Hussain Shah Jangi emphasized that Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev are not merely figures of the past, but remain a living symbol of resistance against oppression, tyranny, and injustice.

They unequivocally declared that Bhagat Singh represents a shared heritage of the subcontinent and cannot be divided. He lives in the hearts of both Pakistanis and Indians, and stands as a true hero of both nations.

Through a unanimous resolution, the participants strongly urged the Government of Pakistan to confer upon Bhagat Singh the country’s highest civil award, “Nishan-e-Pakistan,” while calling upon the Government of India to honor him with its highest civilian award, “Bharat Ratna.” This step, they stated, would be an act of justice with history and a commitment to truth for future generations.

Another resolution demanded that Lahore’s Shadman Chowk be immediately renamed after Bhagat Singh. It was further proposed that commemorative postage stamps and coins be issued in his honor, and that his struggle be included in the national curriculum so that the younger generation may understand the true spirit of freedom and resistance.
