43RD SENIOR NATIONAL ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP IN PUNE : CHANDIGARH ROWERS WINS GOLD IN DOUBLE SCULL, BRONZE IN COXLESS

Very proud moments for Chandigarh Rowing Association as its rowers Duo Yuvraj Singh Parmar and Jaspal Singh had clocked 06:51.7 in a 2000 mts in lane number 3 in the civil mens Double Scull final race no 120 and won gold in Double scull (2X) in the ongoing 43rd Senior Rowing National Championship at the Army Rowing Node Pune, Maharashtra today. CRA rowers defeated West Bengal, Odisha and the host team of Maharashtra.

In another final race, number 127, Civil men's coxless four Chandigarh rowers Gulshan Kumar, Tinku, Sahil Moudgil and Sukhdeep Singh in a coxless four have won a bronze medal with a timing of 06:38.1, competing with host team Maharashtra, Odisha and MEG teams.

President of CRA Dr Anmol Rattan Sindhu, Senior Advocate and Former Advocate General, Punjab, in a telephonic message, sent his wishes to the winners. He said, indeed, it's a very proud moment for all of us and for Chandigarh and for the entire rowing fraternity. He congratulated the winners and their coaches, Jaspal Singh and Sishanpal, for their dedicated hard work. This was disclosed here today by the CRA secretary, Rajiv Sharma.
