Spiritual Intelligence vs. Artificial Intelligence – this was the topic of the Plenary session of the Media Conference themed: Vision and Values for a New Social Order organized by the Brahma Kumaris at their Gyan Sarovar campus, Mt. Abu.

(MOREPIC1) K Srinivasan, Chairman, Prime Point Foundation, Chennai provided a wide overview of the AI landscape – the tools and techniques- and how it can help journalists.

Dr. Sarika Takhar, Director, Journalism & Mass Communication, NIMS University, Noida, Dr. Somnath G. Vadnere, K.R. Asthana talked about the need for balance between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Spiritual Intelligence (SI). AI is good at helping us with repetitive tasks, it can even write essays, build images etc. but what it cannot do, they pointed out, is feel. If a child was rude to their mother and wants to make things right, the AI bot wouldn’t be able to advise the child as to how to do that,B.K. Chandrakala, Zonal Coordinator, Media Wing, Jaipur emphasized that while it is okay for us to use the latest technology and tools, it is not okay for technology to use us.

The event has been organized by the Media Wing of the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF), a sister organization of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.
