The Exhibition Cricket Match of Allegers Gully Cricket Season 4, organized by UT Cricket Association, was played at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Chandigarh, on Sunday between British Deputy High Commission XI and Competent XI.

Competent XI won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 74 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 10 overs. Sonu was the top scorer with 37 runs. For British Deputy High Commission XI, Rajinder Nagarkoti delivered an impressive all-round performance, taking 2 crucial wickets and also effecting one run-out. Vikas Sharma also bowled effectively and claimed 1 wicket.

In reply, British Deputy High Commission XI chased down the target comfortably, scoring 75 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 6.3 overs and registered a convincing 8-wicket victory.

Openers Rajinder Nagarkoti and Vivek Kumar gave British Deputy High Commission XI a strong start with a solid 50-run opening partnership. Vivek Kumar played a match-winning knock of 37 runs, while Rajinder Nagarkoti contributed 10 valuable runs. Vikas Sharma remained unbeaten on 12 runs and played an important role in finishing the chase.

Rajinder Nagarkoti’s outstanding all-round contribution with both bat and ball, along with strong performances from Vivek Kumar and Vikas Sharma, played a key role in British Deputy High Commission XI’s dominant victory.

For his excellent all-round performance and contribution to the team’s victory, Vikas Sharma was declared Man of the Match.
The match witnessed enthusiastic participation and true sportsmanship, adding excitement to the ongoing Allegers Gully Cricket Season 4.
