DFC ON A RAMPAGE: UNBEATEN WARRIORS STORM TO THE TOP OF THE I-LEAGUE 2

Face2News/Chandigarh

Authority, consistency, and composure—three qualities that have defined DFC’s campaign so far in the ongoing I-League 2 season. After four matches, DFC sits firmly at the top of the table, collecting 10 points from three wins and one draw, emerging as early frontrunners in a tightly contested league featuring nine teams.

This is not just a strong start; it is a statement of intent.

DFC’s unbeaten run has been built on discipline, clarity in execution, and a relentless drive to control games. Week after week, the team has shown an ability to adapt, overcome challenges, and deliver results under pressure — a hallmark of title contenders.

At the heart of this dominance lies the extraordinary form of captain Himanshu Jangra, who has been directly responsible for the majority of the team’s attacking output. Out of the seven goals scored by DFC so far, six have come from Jangra alone, underlining his importance as both a leader and a match-winner. His clinical finishing, intelligent movement, and calmness in decisive moments have made him the most influential player in the competition.

The remaining goal came from Neeraj Bhandari, whose contribution adds further depth to a side that continues to grow in confidence with each passing game.
However, DFC’s success cannot be measured by numbers alone. It is their collective mentality that sets them apart. The team has displayed resilience in difficult phases, composure in tight situations, and a fearless approach that reflects their ambition. Each match has seen them break down obstacles with precision — a side that refuses to slow down, regardless of the opposition.

Under the guidance of Ranjit Bajaj, DFC have developed a clear identity — aggressive yet controlled, confident yet disciplined. The structure off the pitch is now translating seamlessly onto it, with players executing their roles with clarity and purpose.

There is a growing sense within the league that DFC are not just participating — they are dictating the tempo. Their unbeaten streak is gaining momentum, their performances are commanding attention, and their intent is unmistakable. As the season progresses, the challenge will only intensify. But for now, DFC stands tall at the summit of I-League 2 — unbeaten, unshaken, and increasingly unstoppable.
