DOCTOR GRANTED INTERIM ANTICIPATORY BAIL IN MATRIMONIAL DISPUTE CASE

In a significant relief to Doctor, the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Mohali, granted interim anticipatory bail in an FIR registered under Sections 351(3) and 85 BNS on a complaint filed by his wife. The defence Counsel Mohd.Uzair argued that the case arose out of a matrimonial dispute and that the applicant had been regularly paying maintenance and other financial obligations and was also bearing loan installments of a house standing in the complainant’s name.

The Court noted that no recovery was required from the accused and that custodial interrogation was not necessary. Doctor has been directed to join the investigation and cooperate with the police.
