The 58th Raising Day 55 Battalion of the Border Security Force was celebrated with fervour, discipline and dignity at Sector Headquarters Abohar. The day refreshes the memory of that golden moment of raising of the battalion and was given sacred responsibility to protect the borders of the nation. DIG BSF Vijay Kumar, Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Savana, officers, jawans and their families were present.

Commandant Ajay Kumar said that the history of this battalion is filled with stories of valour, sacrifice and service, including the Choudhury Trophy won by the Corps 2 times. This day is not only a celebration of our achievements, but it is also an opportunity to remember the brave warriors who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation.
