JAKHAR TRUST’S INITIATIVE BENEFITS 203 DIVYANG PERSONS

The Jakhar Trust, in collaboration with ALIMCO Mohali, distributed free equipment worth about Rs 30 lakh to 203 Divyang persons.

At a function organised under the welfare scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, at Arorvansh Dharamshala, Jaiveer Jakhar, grandson of former Minister Sajjan Kumar Jakhar, was the chief guest.

He said that the Jakhar Trust has been doing social welfare work for a long time and under the same series, free equipment has been distributed to the needy Divyang persons as per their need. He said that in today's camp, knee belts, waist belts, wheelchairs, ear aid machines, sticks, commode chairs, cervical belts and battery-operated tricycles, wheelchairs and other items were distributed.

He gave credit to social workers Vipan Sharma and Ashish Verma Ashu for the success of the programme saying that it was due to their tireless efforts that certificates of eligible people were prepared to become eligible for the equipment.

Dr. Gautam Pandey, Dr. Sushil Pali, Dr. Ravi Sharma and Rekha Rani represented ALIMCO Mohali.
