EXPRESSED GRATITUDE FOR PROVIDING 125 CRORES GRANT TO CHANDIGHAR MUNICIPIAL CORPORATION

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria met Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji at Koinadhara Guest House, Guwahati today during his two-day stay in Guwahati (Assam).

On this occasion, Governor Shri Kataria expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Union Home Minister for the recently approved grant amount of ₹ 125 crore for Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. He said that this amount will prove helpful in further strengthening the infrastructure and civic amenities of the city.

The Governor also gave detailed information to the Union Home Minister about the recent flood situation in Punjab. He also apprised him about the progress of relief and rescue operations, the current situation of the affected areas and the cooperation required in future.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed various issues like regional development, public service and disaster management through.
