In yet another humanitarian gesture, renowned actress Neeru Bajwa, through Hanmbhla Foundation Punjab, has announced a monthly honorarium of Rs. 5,000 each for granthi Singhs serving in gurdwaras of border villages near Hussainiwala. The financial support will continue for the next six months.

(MOREPIC1)  The announcement was made today at the ongoing “Mur Vasaba Camp” in village Hazara Singh Wala by Santosh Subhash Thite, co-partner of Neeru Bajwa Entertainment, who specially arrived from Mumbai. He said that just as floods have devastated crops and homes in the region, the livelihoods of granthi Singhs have also been deeply affected, making it everyone’s responsibility to take care of them.

Hambhla Foundation members Dr. Surjit Singh Sidhu, Gama Sidhu, and Jagdeep Warring highlighted that Neeru Bajwa had earlier extended support by covering the full board examination fees of children studying in schools of these border villages. They said that a survey conducted by the foundation had revealed the poor financial condition of granthi Singhs due to limited sources of income, which prompted this initiative.

In a special message, Neeru Bajwa appealed to people to come forward and share the grief of those affected by floods, while also appreciating the efforts of Hanbhla Foundation.

The initiative has been receiving widespread appreciation across the region. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Dr. Surjit Singh Sidhu, Gama Sidhu, Jagdeep Warring, ex-serviceman Angrez Singh Wadhwal, Amreek Sandhu, P.K., Tarlochan Musafir, and Kanwaljit Kaur.
