NCB NABS TWO DOCTORS OF LIFE CARE HOSPITAL AMRITSAR ON INVOLVEMENT IN DRUG TRAFFICKING

Two doctors of Life Care Hospital in Amritsar, Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Drs. Parveen reportedly arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) involved in banned and drug trafficking.

NCB spokesman said, Deepak Bhandari and his brother Anil Bhandari, who run a web channel, have already been arrested in the same case. According to the NCB, these accused spread illegal drug trade under the guise of media platforms. More than 5,700 narcotic pills were recovered from the two,  which were far higher than the demand orders from hospitals. 

The NCB has named journalist Deepak's wife and sons in the case.

The NCB has arrested doctors Jatinder Malhotra and Dr. Rajan has already been arrested. Their bail pleas are scheduled to be heard in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on October 9. Dr. Parveen had also filed an anticipatory bail plea in the High Court for relief from arrest but her bail plea was rejected by the High Court.
