Bhagwan Valmiki Pragat Diwas was celebrated with fervour and gaiety at Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir in Sant Nagar. Hundreds of devotees paid obsaince and sought blessings.
MLA Sandeep Jakhar especially attended the celebrations and served Langar to the devotees. He was welcomed by the Mandir management committee. Earlier, a huge Shobha Yatra was taken out by the committee through the main roads. People stood up on both sides of the roads to appreciate the tableaux.
MLA Jakhar said that Bhagwan Valmiki has shown us the path of devotion and power.
For the creation of a better society, we should follow his teachings. He called upon the youth to move towards sports, attract also towards sports and make them aware against drugs. Dharamveer Malkat, Kaushal Pihwal, Raju Khatnawalia, Vinod Pappu and other functionaries were present on the occasion.
