The Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit at G World School, Mohali on 21st February 2026. The event aimed at promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and holistic development among students.
The programme was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Sanjay Tandon, Senior Leader, BJP, Parbhari, BJP Himachal Pradesh, Chairman, Standing Sports Committee Advisory of Chandigarh Administration, Ex-President, Chandigarh BJP; and Ex-President, UTCA Cricket Association. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of sports in nurturing leadership qualities, resilience, and confidence among young learners.
The Guest of Honour included Harmanjeet Singh Goraya, National Awardee; Mrs. Divya P., IAS, SDM, Kharar; Mr. Karan Singh Sandu, DSP, Kharar; and Mr. Ankit Mahajan, Nayab Tehsildar, Fatehgarh Sahib. Their presence added prestige to the occasion and served as a great source of motivation for the students.
The event was also honoured by the presence of Special Dignitaries — Mr. Ashok Sharma, Retd. XEN; Mr. Honey Sanan; and Mr. Rachit Malhotra, Architect — whose support and encouragement contributed to the success of the programme.
The celebration was conducted under the dynamic leadership of the school management — Chairperson Ms. Navdeep Kaur, Director Mr. Jaspreet Walia and Principal Ms. Pushpalata Jha — whose vision and dedication ensured the smooth and grand execution of the event.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial welcome and an impressive march past by the four houses, reflecting unity and discipline. Students enthusiastically participated in various track and field events, drills, and fun races, showcasing determination, coordination, and true sportsmanship.
Parents highly appreciated the well-organized arrangements and the platform provided to students for exhibiting their talents and confidence. The Annual Sports Day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and was widely perceived as a vibrant and inspiring celebration of teamwork and achievement.
