CFA TO CONDUCT TRIALS FOR U-20 NATIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Chandigarh Football Association (CFA) will conduct field trials to select 30 probable players for the upcoming Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2026, scheduled to be held in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh from April 19.The trials will be held at the Football Stadium, Sector-46, Chandigarh on April 3 and April 4 at 4:30 PM. Selected players will attend a coaching camp starting April 5.

According to CFA President K.P. Singh, players born between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009 are eligible to participate. Only those registered with the association in the All India Football Federation’s CRS/CMS system will be allowed to appear for the trials.

The selection process and coaching camp will be supervised by AIFF ‘A’ License coach Sanjeev Maria and former NIS Patiala Director Dr. I.P. Nagi.

As per the guidelines, a maximum of 40 players (including at least three goalkeepers) can be registered, while the final squad will consist of 18 players along with three officials. Up to four outstation players and two OCI/PIO players are permitted in the team.

Players attending the trials must carry photocopies of their birth certificate, Aadhaar card, one passport-size photograph, and CRS ID, if registered.The Chandigarh U-20 team will begin its campaign in the national championship on April 19.
