Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Governor Punjab, today visited PCA I.S. Bindra Stadium , Mohali to witness the ongoing test match between India & Sri Lanka. He was welcomed at the stadium by PCA President Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta.
Governor in an informal conversation appreciated the efforts put in by PCA for making the arrangements for spectators in a very short period as the match was earlier to be played behind closed doors and it was decided a few days back only to allow 50% capacity inside the stadium by BCCI.
He also appreciated PCA for promoting the sport activities in the state in a big way, so that talent of the state could come forward.
