The Teachers' day celebrations at St John's High School weren't any different from the previous years - they were just as spectacular as expected and celebrated with great pomp and show.
The celebrations carried on for 2-3 days. Firstly, the boys of both Junior and the Senior school presented an extremely entertaining Special Assembly.
It was a wonderful program with melodious songs, foot tapping dances, speeches and poems. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards their teachers. The teachers were presented with gifts from the school.
The grand finale was the gala dinner hosted by the St. John's Old Boys' Association, SJOBA. This was made even more special as the retired teachers had also been invited to the event. There were many interesting games and an elaborate buffet. The teachers who had completed 25 years of service were felicitated. In true Johnian style, the gentleman pampered their teachers and also gave generous tokens of their respect. The programme was highly appreciated by one an all.
